A lot depends on the point. The point is the dot we must focus our eyes and mind on. It is where the magic lies. For each one of us, the point is unique. For some it is working in the kitchen, for some it is decorating the garden, for some it is achieving success in business, and for others it is arts of some sort, like painting, writing, dancing, etc.
We each have been given a point. The purpose of life is to sharpen our mind by focusing on the point. The more we sharpen our focus and work on the point, the more we shall get closer to the core that lies underneath the point. It is Paramaatma I think.
As we focus our minds and nurture love for our point, we get closer to the creator. As we get closer to the creator, we feel more drawn to the core of the point and the process continues, making our entire existence revolve around the point and the core.

If we hover around the point, postpone getting near it, avoid it, fear it, then we are simply wasting our time. Time, as we all know, is a limited commodity. It waits for none, it stays for none.
